Grand Prize Barbeque in Pasadena

I had the 2 piece catfish with onion rings and Mac and cheese and It was bland, No seasoning, and the Mac and cheese had fake proceeded cheese watered down. They were friendly. They just need to add herbs and spices to their food.

I think overall the BBQ food in the trust run is pretty good. I would definitely not considered a great or one of my favorite BBQ restaurants to ever eat. I believe the stuff is pretty friendly and the manager is helpful. The restaurant in the restrooms are pretty clean

Stopped in around 11 for lunch and there was a minimum line. The queue was setup cafeteria style and moved quickly. Chopped beef sandwich was pretty good. Great portions. The sauce was different, kind of chunky like it has chopped up meat in it, just a hint of spicyness. The Mac and Cheese is probably the best I've had in 10 years. Will return next time I'm in the area.

My favorite spot on the east side of Houston actually in Pasadena. I understand that the owner won the Houston Fat Stock Show and Rodeo cook-off a number of years ago.

This is one of my favorite spots in town to eat.You gotta try the double cowboy burger. I'm quite sure that you won't be disappointed.

One of the best BBQ restaurants in the Houston area!

My rating is due to service. They need to hire employees who can speak and read english. Every time I go they get the order wrong. I even tried writing the order out for them very plainly and handing it to them. still got it wrong. The food is comparable to other bbq restaurants. I've only continued to go because it is my office that chooses the restaurant. It's very frustrating. I would advise everyone to check their order thoroughly before leaving the restaurant and also they will charge you incorrectly as well..check that too.

This food is amazing. I don’t know where to begin. So I ordered a four meat platter to compare their brisket to the brisket house in Pasadena and this place has the brisket best hands down. It’s juicy and moist but extremely flavorful. The ribs and sausage are cooked just right but the turkey, my girlfriend hates turkey and she wished she got that instead of double ham on her potato. Their bbq sauce is not too watery but not too spicy, it’s just right. And there jalapeño toast....me or my girlfriend are NOT jalapeño eaters but the toast OMG is amazing. It’s got the flavor but not the hit and is to die for. Plus the decor is so Texan, if your from out of town or visiting and want authentic Texas food and feel then this is the place. All and all being a big foodie I love this place.

Not a bad place. Its definitely nicer on the inside than on the outside. The prices are decent given the food and the service was fast and friendly. The menu is huge and when going inside they have all the extras and condiments you could ask for. I'll be returning in the near future.

Highly recommend their food and hospitality. Great Bbq and reasonably priced with generous portions. Definitely will revisit again if in Pasadena. They even have a Seniors portion plate whereby you are not paying for food you cannot eat

Went there for the first time this week. The staff was friendly and the food was great. The Jalapenos poppers was a meal itself. Was going to stop in and get some tonight, but they were already clised.

The food here was awesome, and had really large portions. I had the Cowboy Burger and it was insanely filling. I ended up saving half of it for another meal. The staff are really friendly and fast. I work nearby but only recently discovered this place, so I will be returning again often for lunch. Highly recommend Grand Prize BBQ

I did not have a good experience tried to order a plate to go the cashier sent me to the end of the line and I tried to order 1/4 lb. Of checken and 1/4 lb ribs but thay did not let me ... nut I go to other bbq places and thay let me all the time
